Our Clients

Purple Patch Partners

We provided a bespoke training package to the staff at Purple Patch, exploring cultural, religious and moral attitudes towards disability. We then provided the Support Workers at Purple Patch with practical exercises, such as sighted guidance training and empowerment training to assist their service users to the highest standard.

The Lancashire Wildlife Trust

We delivered a bespoke online training package to the staff at The Lancashire Wildlife Trust. We explored the barriers which may inhibit people with disabilities engaging with their programmes and provided them with practical, tailored solutions to these barriers.

Roe Lee Park Primary School

Diffability Awareness Worked with 50 students from year five to teach them braille. We explored how braille works and identified patterns which exist within braille using Lego and play dough. By the end of the session, the children were able to recognize braille letters and begin to read and write words.

Blackburn College

We ran a session with a variety of staff at the college which focussed on visual impairments. We explored the impact that a visual impairment can have on learning and identified solutions to overcome the barriers.

IMO (Inter Madressa Organisation)

IMO was our very first client. In this session, IMO staff simulated disabilities which ranged from sensory impairments, learning difficulties and physical impairments. We educated them and instilled within them values which derive from the social model. Today, IMO have begun running sports sessions for diffabled young people and have begun an inclusive journey to integrate more diffabled people in to their sports programmes.

Al-Imdaad Foundation

We worked with staff and volunteers at Al Imdaad to educate them about diffability with a particular focus on Down syndrome. Al Imdaad then felt confident enough to offer a service user from Purple Patch meaningful work experience at their radio station where he still works and is extremely valued.

Abu Hanifa Foundation

We worked with a class of 28 children who were in pursuit of gaining their disability awareness badges. We worked together to explore the definition of disability and the connotations attached to the word. The children were given the opportunity to use visual aids and put on blindfolds to complete, or try to complete, a variety of daily tasks.
